The historic building that occupied this site since the early 1900s was demolished in 1990 [HDC]. The current building is a two-story, three-bay brick veneer structure with a recessed sign panel in the parapet. There are paired nine-light-over-one-panel doors on the left (south) end of the façade with a one-light transoms and a fabric awning. Six-light casement windows with two-light transoms are recessed slightly on the right (north) end of the façade with an integral planter extending in front of them. Gooseneck lights are located above the first-floor windows. A pair of one-light French doors centered on the second floor are flanked by one-light sidelights and topped by a blind arch in a segmental-arched brick surround. They are recessed slightly with a metal railing extending in front of them. There are six-over-six windows on each end of the second-floor façade.

As of 2016, the first floor is home to Panciuto, at this moment in time the best restaurant in Hillsborough, and one of the best restaurants in the Triangle.
I'm not generally a fan of historicist new buildings - but to a great extent, that's related to how badly they are usually executed; something that baffles me given the abundance of examples of the correct proportions to use. You can literally measure another actual historic buildng and match those proportions. That seems so straightforward to me that I conclude that badly designed pseudo-historic buildings are primarily due to laziness / not caring.
All of that being said, this is a pretty well done rendition of a pseudo-historic building. The upstairs and downstairs windows are a bit short (again, just look at the windows next door) but not jarringly so, and the horizontal proportions are good. The Juliet balcony is a bit 1990-2015 apartment building aesthetic, but not that obtrusive. Some buildings jump out at even a glance as being fake-old; this one does not.
