I must admit that their Bull-Dog (with mustard, slaw, onions, and chili) is tough for me to avoid.

In 1970, The Dog House started in Durham. Circa 1971, this Hillsborough Dog House location opened for business. The building was designed by Dog House owner/founder Stuart G. Henderson, via his architectural design business Southeast Plan Service.

The business was owned and operated by the Henderson family for 45 years, until 2015 when it was purchased by Mike Martin with the original owner (and wife/widow of Stuart), Joan Henderson, staying on as Director of Operations.
