On 20 Jul 1918, James B. Mason, Trustee for the land development company, sold lot 251 to Ernest P. Cox for $75. He likely built the house shortly thereafter
Cox married his wife Mary Rogers Craven on 24 Nov 1918.
EP Cox worked as a weaver in one of the mills, per the 1920 US Census (it doesn't say which one.) The street is noted simply as "Cotton Mill Village"

On October 26, 1935, PJ and Mozelle Reeves sold the house and Land to Herman and Eva (Ray) Crawford. Eva Crawford would live in the house for the next 60+ years.
