This property was purchased by James Freeland in September 1961.

It was then sold to the Humble Oil Company in October 1961. Within a year a gas/service station was built; it was operated by Banks Terrell.

Humble and Esso merged in January 1973 and formed Exxon. Sometime in the early 1970s (prior to 1975) the structure was demolished (or it burned). Boddie-Noell, part of the Hardee's empire, purchased the property in the mid or late 1970s.

The site is still the location of a Hardee's fast food restaurant. According to Orange County's GIS, the structure was built in 1978.
