After earning a Pulitzer Prize for drama in 1927 for his book In Abraham's Bosom, Paul Green bought 200 acres and had this house built on its highest point.
The Green family sold the house and property to George W. and Mary L. Hill in May 1965. The cabin he wrote in was once on this property, but was moved in 1991.
