Presley M. Sykes bought the property from D. B. and Callie A. Miles in 1909 [1]. A house was built by Sykes to replace an earlier house that burned down [2]. The house appears to have been built in the 1920s or 1930s.

Robert and Ella Mace purchased the property from the Sykes family in 1942 [3]. It was listed in later deeds as the R. L. Mace homeplace.

The Mace family sold the property in January 2012 [4]. The house was demolished and the property is now a used car lot.
