The High Rock Elementary School was a one-room school building built circa 1925 [1]. It served African American students of the Efland District. In 1936, 22 students were in attendance [2].

The school was consolidated with Efland-Cheeks Elementary School when it opened in 1951. The property and building was reverted to its previous owner [3].
